krakatoa zlib_reader error

Hi, at frame 370 my prt files suddenly cause the error: krakatoa zlib_reader::read() inflate() failed: incorrect data check, i wonder what exactly is wrong when this error appears ? i cached the prts from a consistent pflow and frame 371 onwards are just working fine again, anyone any idea what kind of data can be incorrect here ?

Its complaining about data corruption in the file. Something went bad either generating the compressed data or storing that file on disk. There is no way to recover it :frowning:

hmm ok :frowning: just going to recache it, also it seems the Perturb output option for procedural texture maps is again broken for the magmamodifier, still working fine for the old 1.6 Krakatoa Channels modifier

Error message:

Magma The result type “Perturb” was unknown:

Property Name: resultType

v2.1.7.49974 built

If the particles have an ID channel, you could theoretically recreate a plausible missing frame based on its neighbors using the MAXScript PRT I/O functions. But in many cases it might be easier to just recache it.

I logged the Perturb bug. Thanks!
