launcher not launching

Sometimes, i manage to get myself in a situation where non of the deadline applications launch, and dont’ generate a log neither.

Would it be possible to add some logging in the startup that would help me figure out whats going on? Even starting from the command line, the exe just returns, no logs, no errors.

You could try running “deadlinelauncher.exe -console”. It attaches a console to the application, so if an error is happening before the log is created it should hopefully be printed out to the console.

Just to confirm, is this with version 6 or 7? I think we made some improvements here in v7…

This is with v7. Interestingly, it starts when i use the -console option…
If i omit the option, no launcher. If i add it, launcher works.

Wait, could this be the python print error again?

When there is a console, the std out prints would work. Without a console, no output, crash?

Is this with beta 3 or beta 2? I could have sworn we fixed this issue in beta 3…

Hmm, seems to be working fine here with the launcher and the monitor. If you are on beta 3, did you install it with the client installer again (instead of using auto-update)? The client installer needs to run again to install the new python build.

After a clean reinstall, it seems ok now!

I was just trying a regular update, but after the reinstall, its ok now
