deadlinecommand sometimes gets stuck after doing things. Whatever you’re trying to do runs fine, but then the process just hangs indefinitely instead of exiting. Sometimes it’s when running RemoteControl commands, sometimes it’s stuck ConnectToSlaveLog processes. In other words, I don’t think it’s only when running certain commands.
Does it ever happen when running commands that don’t involve connecting to a remote machine? Both the RemoteControl and ConnectToSlaveLog commands do this, so I’m curious if you see this when submitting jobs or doing other things?
Assuming that your machines still have Mono 2.10 on them, could you pick a machine that exhibits this problem and upgrade it to Mono 3.4 (or even 3.10, which was recently released) to see if it makes a difference?
We only use it for RemoteControl and (indirectly) for ConnectToSlaveLog.
I’m not sure when I’ll be able to try out an updated version of Mono. We’re dealing with the fallout of Marvel’s heavy-handed security tactics, so getting files in and out has become quite a chore.
