When you do the following steps, the user experience isn’t as smooth as it could be.
1: Create a new Genome modifier
2: make sure it is in vertex loop mode
3: open magma and create an input channel node
4: realise that you actually wanted to loop over faces
5: change the loop mode to faces in the modify panel
6: The input node is now in a weird state and doesn’t update until you de-select it and re-select it.
it would be nice if when the loop mode was changed, it triggered an update of the selected input channel node attributes at the time, without waiting for it to be unselected and reselected
