macs cant render when 64 bit version of maya is forced

not sure if this is a beta bug to report or unique to the install here, but when a render job is set to use 64 bit maya builds, the macs cant render even though they are also 64 bit. attached is the log they give. The same job renders fine on all the PC’s, and the same job renders fine on all pc’s and macs IF the maya build is switched to none. This isnt a big deal at all with submission from deadline monitor, as it defaults to “none”, but in the in-maya submission script, it actually defaults to 64 bit build of maya (if thats what the person is running im guessing).

(i know i can theoretically build a sanity check script to set defaults, but i havn’t found enough info yet to do that. would be AMAZING if instead of having to create a sanity check file by hand, there could just be a “save as sanity check(default)” button in the submission script)

Anyway, just fyi :slight_smile: not a big deal at all on our end.

using rc1

also, not really a bug but a feature request for the in-maya submission script, the task size slider goes from 0 to 1000…which seems excessive haha. maybe like. 1-20?

Thanks for the log! Can you go to \your\repository\plugins\MayaBatch and post your MayaBatch.dlinit file? I’m not sure why it would be complaining about an invalid path, but hopefully something in the dlinit file will stand out as the problem.

Thanks!

Nevermind, we can reproduce! We’re looking into it.

Tracked it down. It will be fixed in the next release candidate.

Cheers,

yeay i actually helped :slight_smile:

I’ve uploaded the updated MayaBatch file here so you can test it. Just unzip it to \your\repository\plugins\MayaBatch and overwrite the existing MayaBatch.py file.

Thanks again!

Cool, thanks so much!
will test it out eod, (lots of long frames rendering now, in case itll mess with that stuff)
