Any chance the “Manual Increment Seeds” button could also increment the name of the .prt file according the the “nofn”? I overwrote my other particle file. Oops.

Yes. (Sorry about that!)
We're already considering improving the behavior of manual partitioning and the file name fields in the GUI.

Will be Fixed in 0.9.5.
A new “Manually Increment Partition and Seeds” button will both increment the seeds and change the name.
If the save file name does not have _PartNofN in it it will be added without incrementing so the first Partition can be rendered with the default Random Seeds.
If the name does have the _PartNofN suffix and the Current Partition is less than the Partition Count, the Current Partition will be incremented by one and the file name will be updated. If the Partition Count is reached, it will warp back to Current Partition 1 and the Seeds will be decremented by the Partition Count, returning back to the original Random Seed.
This way, you can hit the button again and again and cycle through all partitions manually and both seeds and names will be kept updated.
