Max 2021 & Deadline 10.1.5 repository issues

Hi. I’ve been trying to set-up deadline 10 from 9 and pretty much got everything communicating apart from rendering. it looks like 3DS max isn’t saving the file where the repository can see it. i’m not 100% sure.

This is all pretty alien to me.

I’m using a submitter script through RPManager

that’s because officially Deadline still not support 2021, i release a non offical version version for 10.1 and Max 2021, install it then it should work :).(but i only do for 3dsMAXcmd and 3dsMAX pluggins, not all other 3dsMAX plugins, so not sure it need a edit or not).

The error is in your installation :
From 3DsMax.py

That’s where you fail, and mostly because in repo maxstart up folder, there is no 3dsMAX2021 folder for the Dlx :slight_smile:

Wow thanks for the reply, really helpful.

i’m having trouble with Max 2018 also but can’t figure out why.

I disabled missing Dll errors to see if it was a plugin issue but still no joy

this problem is different,

your are using a third party or a custum geometry that is not installed and loaded when max start up, in your scene, on machine doing the job (all slave need to have pluggins installed)

Could be a MXS geom/mod, MCG geom/mod, third party, but this is not installed and loaded on machine that perform the job.

Slave need to have pluggins installed too…

the missing dll feature, is something you want ON…(but you do not want the dll missing on system, install it)

I don’t understand the forest pack issue on 2018 but maybe they’re using different verisons.

How do you know that the error is forest pack pro just out of interest.

I google the ClassID…and look like this is issue with forest pack pro with Vray or just forest pack pro, so my conclusion is: it’s forest pack pro… :slight_smile:
