Maya 2008 Render Exception

Hi,
I’m trying to render an animation job with 1500 frames using Deadline v3.1.0 and Maya 2008 but I keep running into a render plugin error once the job is submitted. I know Maya 2008 was working for me up until just recently but I can’t remember anything changing that would cause this problem. The full error message is below:
“Exception during render: An error occurred in RenderTasks(): Error in RenderExecutable(): GetConfigEntry: Script accessed non-existent config key RenderExecutable2008_0 (FranticX.Processes.ManagedProcessAbort) (Deadline.Plugins.RenderPluginException)
at Deadline.Plugins.ScriptPlugin.RenderTasks(Int32 startFrame, Int32 endFrame, String& outMessage)”

The message seems to indicate that the start and end frames aren’t correct but I’m only trying to do a test render right now of frames 1-50 which I know should work.

I found the problem. Under the “Advanced Options” tab when submitting the job there is a option for “Use MayaBatch Plugin”. If i check that everything works fine.
So it appears that the plugin error has to do with the MayaCmd job plugin.

That’s strange. We can’t seem to reproduce this problem here. Do you know if you guys recently installed Deadline 3.1? That error sounds like it would come from an older version of Deadline, so maybe the MayaCmd plugin didn’t get updated properly. A reinstall of the Deadline 3.1 repository might fix it if this is the case.

Hey Ryan,

It looks like our MayaCmd plugin was somehow overwritten by what appeared to be an error log. We recreated the plugin, which seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for the help.

Cheers,
