maya 2013 render problem

Hi,

I tried to submit some maya 2013 scenes to deadline.
Everything seems to work okay but when it starts rendering I get following error.
I’m using maya 2013, rendering with mental ray and deadline 5.2.
If anybody knows what’s wrong, please let me know.
Many Thanks in advance!

So it sounds like your plugin configuration somehow has some entries missing, or is corrupted.

You should be able to fix this by bringing up the Plugin Configuration in the Monitor (under Tools, as Super User), and filling out the Maya 2013 Executable list again and hitting OK.

If that still doesn’t fix it, I would check the “plugins/MayaBatch/MayaBatch.dlinit” file in your repo. First, make sure it’s there and that users have write access to it. If that’s the case, post the contents of the file here and we’ll try to figure out what’s wrong with it.

Hi Jon,

You certainly led me in the right direction!
Turns out there was no Maya 2013 render executable list. I reinstalled a fresh repository somewhere else and overwrote the “plugins/MayaBatch/” folder with the new one. Everything works fine now!
Thanks you very much for the very fast and very clear answer!!

kind regards!

Awesome, good to hear you figured it out!

Cheers,

  • Jon
