Whats the correct way:
1)caching nparticles and then save multiple prt partition or…
2)just hit the psrtsvr button for nparticles and save multiple partitions?
How prtsvr works on precached particles(how it randomize them)?
#2 is the correct way. In order to save multiple partitions correctly, Krakatoa needs to work from the actual source particles.
If you do it the first way described, you will get the exact same particles being saved in the partitions. There will be no variation. The way it works is by randomizing the seed or initial position of the particles. As a result, the Maya particle system will produce a different particle sequence.
