Maya Octane submission issue

Hi,

When submitting an Octane job from within Maya 2017, you don’t get the “Octane Render JOb” choice in integrated submission script. It submits sucsessfully choosing “Maya Render Job” and writes “Completed” in the monitor but nothing is written to disk!

When submitting the same Maya file via the monitor and here we can and do choose “Octane Render Job” it submits, render and saves to file sucessfully!

Why is this option not included in the Maya Integrated Submission Script?

I might be missing something, but the reason you don’t need to specify the renderer is because we can ask Maya which one was chosen. In the case of the Monitor submission script, we can’t read the scene file (especially the .mb files) so we rely on you to help us out.

In fact, if you do one from within Maya and one from the Monitor, you should see the renderer match in the “Plugin Info”:
