DL beta 18
in maya, the submit script has the name correctly, but if you save out that file, open a new file, submit the new scene, the name is correct in the submit script, but shows up in monitor with the job name of the first scene you opened in maya.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Did you close and re-open the maya submitter after you loaded the second scene? That’s the only way I could reproduce, but because I didn’t restart my submitter, it still had the previous scene file for the Job Name.
Cheers,
I hear ya, but that’s not the issue. The issue isn’t the name in the submitter GUI, that name is updating fine, but the name in the monitor GUI is the same, so for example, I start maya, open myFile1.ma, submit that file, and I see ‘myFile1’ in the monitor. Maya still open, I open another file ‘yourFIle3.ma’, the submitter has ‘yourFile3’ as the job name, but when I submit, the monitor now has two jobs named ‘myFile1’. Looking at the properties of this new job with the duplicate name, it’s pointing to ‘yourFile3.ma’.

Weird. I can’t seem to reproduce this behavior here. I followed the steps you listed (restarting the maya submitter after loading the second scene), and it worked as expected. I’m not sure what could be causing this…
I’ll dig deeper on my side and see what I find.
keeping my eye on this now we have installed beta 19. keep you posted.
