Does Draft have the ability to edit metadata? It seems that it doesn’t, but I just wanted to ask to make sure. Specifically I’d like to read metadata from an exr and copy it to the metadata for a mov. Also, it’s a lot of metadata. I was trying to use ffmpeg to mess with the metadata of the mov, but I started getting errors that the command line calls were too long.
You’re correct, currently Draft does not have the ability to edit metadata. However, this is on our wish list for future development.
Excellent, I’m glad it’s in the works!
indeed - the initial spec for draft was to be able to ingest, assemble and compile metadata [grabbing information from the original image, the maya/nuke/max, shotgun or some other database or whatever project and inject it into the resulting output and even perhaps additional xml files. people have done some of these things on their own just using python in conjunction with draft, but I wanted to make it wasy. thanks for the kick in the pants!
