It is currently not possible to change the name (it is controlled by the Magma core and one can only get it but not set it via MAXScript).
The name (e.g. “InputValue 1”) corresponds to the ID shown in the Editor.
Note that this limitation applies to all subAnim objects in Max, not just in Magma.
The names you give in the editor exist just as user-defined properties. They are not integral to the core of Magma, which uses actual object references and numeric IDs internally.
