I am having trouble connecting to Mongo with the slave and monitor on workstations;
The repository is running on a NAS and Mongo is installed on the license server.
I can connect no problems when I run the slave or monitor on the license sever.
Firewalls have been disabled on the license server and the slave.
The Mongo service appears to be running on the license server.
The port 27017 appears to be open and reachable on the license server.
Really driving me insane, this setup was working quite happily for a few weeks before this started.
That is an error that can mean a few things. Could I have you first verify that you can see the machine hosting the database by it’s hostname from the slave giving that error? For instance opening a command line window and typing “ping COMPUTERNAME” where “COMPUTERNAME” is the name of the mongo host machine, and see if you get results? Also, what OS is running on the mongo host machine? Thanks
Thank you for your reply and apologies for not writing back sooner. The short answer is yes, I am able to ping the machine no problem.
I have actually fixed the error by uninstalling and re-installing Deadline (on all machines), i also rolled out an update. The only problem now is that I will never know what changed to cause the problem.
