mongo ulimit check in pulse?

Hey guys,

Would it be possible to maybe add a ulimit check into pulse? We find that on occasion, for some voodoo reason the ulimit settings get reset (even though according to our linux insiders, it shouldnt), and the only notification we get of that is in the form of erratic deadline behavior. I know this is not a ‘deadline issue’ per se, but it would be a nice convenience if IT got a warning email as soon as the ulimit is outside the recommended ranges.

Hey Lazslo,

I think that’s a great idea, given how important this is, and how easily someone could gloss over it. Part of the stats we can get from the MongoDB includes currently availabe connections, so it shouldn’t be a big stretch to add an alert email when that gets low.
