We’ve noticed some odd behavior with Deadline running as a service. We have over 300 render slaves. When I install Deadline as a service and start up Monitor, I can only see 42 of the slaves. If I uninstall and reinstall to NOT run Deadline as a service, I can see all the nodes again. Uninstall/reinstall running Deadline as a service, and again, I only see 42 nodes. I tried it on two other machines with the exact same results.
We’re running Deadline 6.1, build 54062 under Windows 7 x64.
Anyone else seeing this behavior?
I noticed that you are on beta 13, which is 3 versions behind the current build (RC 2). RC 1 fixed a bug in the Monitor that could cause problems when loading the slaves, so I’m wondering if that’s what’s causing the behavior you’re seeing. Can you try upgrading to RC 2 to see if that makes a difference?

Apart from a few small issues, beta 14 is working fine for us. We’ve upgraded a number of times in the past few months and it impacts our Pipeline team every time we do it. Now that you’re in the home stretch for an official release, we’ve decided to hold off until a genuine release is declared. I was hoping we weren’t the only ones that ran into this.
