I want to add some custom parameters to the Deadline Job submitter so I sort by the custom parameter in the Deadline Monitor.
I have a few global variables that are in each scene identifying it’s job number for instance, would be nice if I could have this listed in the Monitor so i could sort by job number.
Currently using 3dsmax 9 and Deadling 4.1
Is there an easy way to do this, if not, Deadline 5?

Dave
Hi Dave,
This functionality will actually be available in Deadline 5.0, which is currently in beta. There will be 10 generic properties for a job that you can customize and sort on their corresponding columns in the Monitor. See this announcement if you are interested in joining:

This functionally is unfortunately not available in 4.1.
Cheers,
Thanks Russel, Will it be possible to get a total rendering time property if we had all our render jobs tagged with their job number? Think production/managers would quite like this…
Are you wanting to see this property as a column in the Monitor? Or are you just looking to query this information from the farm after the jobs have rendered?
As a query would be fine, but having that information stored when jobs are deleted etc… as some projects run a few months and we have to clear out the queue fairly regularily…
Thanks for clarifying. If you enable stats gathering in Deadline, this information is stored separately from the job so that you can review it later. The stats are just stored in the repository, but eventually we will add an option to store them in a database so that users can write their own queries.
