New Licensing Daemon Download

We’ve added some new features to our vendor daemon. Now Thinkbox products should be able to find their license server automatically assuming those machines are on an IPv4 network. We use the same mechanism as DHCP, so where one works, the other should as well. The problem is we changed our encryption keys, so there are some incompatibilities between old software and our new license server.

What this means to you the end user is that moving forward to Krakatoa MX 2.0, you will require a fresh license as well as the additon of ‘thinkbox(.exe)’ within your lmgrd folder. We’ve split compatibility down the middle, where all software prior to Krakatoa MX 2.0 will use the classic license server, and 2.0 and up will use the new Thinkbox server. We will combine both license files into one so the change is as smooth as possible for you.

You can find the thinkbox license server as well as the other binaries you need in the same install locations as you’re used to, they’ll also be attached here for convenience’s sake.

When upgrading to 2.0, please ask either the support or sales departments for an “Updated license for the thinkbox daemon” so they can write you a fresh license.
