i wonder if this will improve the fathom recordings? also this version allows upto 4x kinects to a computer (working together?)
also it would be amazing to get a simultaneous tracked mocapped biped inside max with the point clouds
TB isn’t using the MS sdk. There was talk of a licence fee to use the sdk commercially, but I’m not seeing if that is still true.

We have some of these coming, and I believe the plan is to support the ms sdk, unless there is some issue with that eg. It is expensive!

I believe the commercial MS SDK is free to use, but it only supports the new Kinect for Windows (i.e., no support for the Xbox 360 Kinect).
It’ll improve some things, for example, it lets you record as close as 40 cm.
So, the new Kinect has arrived - but no response in Fathom… I gather the new Kinect is not supported yet as the posts above suggest…

Sorry, no news yet, but I may be able to do to this soon.
Finally got the Windows Kinect working with the newest versions of OpenNI (openni-win64-1.5.4.0-dev) and SensorKinect (SensorKinect093-Bin-Win64-v5.1.2.1)
Yay!

Great, I’m really happy to hear that they added support for the Windows Kinect!
