NUKE: net rendering outputs BLACK images

Hi there,

I really have no idea what is going on here, but when I submit a Nuke (6.0.1 x64) scene file to Deadline it renders pure black images.

But when I try to open up the scene file on the network machines it renders just fine, no errors, nothing, the output is correct.

The network paths are correct and there are no errors in the scene file. So, I assume this must be “something” between Nuke and Deadline.

Any help will be much appretiated, thanks!

Btw, I’m using the interactive licenses, not the render ones. But still, the only machine that renders correctly is my workstation, the others fire up Nuke, writhe a completely black image with the correct filename to the correct location and then they’re done. No errors, nothing, just black images.

OK, after some more testing, I limited the “black output” error to a single shot file. It is strange as the script contains correct UNC paths and renders just fine locally as well as on my workstation via Deadline, but other machines render black images in 2s - 3s.

Here’s the script file just in case…

The file loads up not only images, but also some 3D geometry in form of OBJ files, but I’m not attaching those as it’d be too huge.

We’ve just uploaded a Nuke patch for the latest version of Deadline, so if you’re using Deadline 4.0 SP1, we recommend applying this patch to see if it resolves this problem:

If it doesn’t resolve the problem, then it’s likely the problem you’re seeing is Nuke related, since the patch results in Deadline rendering with Nuke in command line mode.

Amazing! Thank you very much, I’ll give it a shot and see if it heleped…
