Hi,
Support for:
Octane for Maya 2.0
Octane for Blender 2.0
Octane for Modo 2.0
Octane for C4D 2.0
Octane Render 2.0
The functions would be great.
Network rendering as DBR and an optional GPU Selection for the render nodes.
best regards

Have you tested Octane 2.0 on Deadline yet? In theory, it should already work for the integrated renderers (Maya, Blender, C4D, modo), and the standalone Octane renderer should also work providing they haven’t changed their command line interface. If you’ve tested already and ran into problems, send us the error reports and we’ll take a look!
For GPU selection, we could probably do what we did for Redshift, and let you specify the number of GPUs you want per task, and then you could concurrent tasks to perform multiple renders simultaneously on multi-GPU machines. Would that be useful? I’m not sure we can support direct GPU selection (ie: via name) because that probably wouldn’t work well if you have machines with different GPUs.
Cheers,
Ryan
