I noticed that jobs which “on job complete” were marked to “delete job” took over ten minutes to be deleted.
Is this expected?

Yeah, this is currently expected behavior because this job cleanup operation is handled by Deadline’s housecleaning operations, which are performed at certain intervals. We may consider moving some operations like this to the slave so that they can happen immediately in the future.
