I’m having a brain fart. Is Houdini Engine UBL allowed for on-prem usage? The UBL webpage doesn’t say anything specific like, “NOT available for rendering on premises”.

I think so, I only see Arnold and Autodesk options with this

Thanks for the reply. We have leftover Houdini Engine credits so I thought I’d test a bit to see if we could use them on-prem. Redshift UBL (standalone RS) worked for on-prem – which is what we really want, but it would be nice to use the Houdini Engine UBL.
I was trying it yesterday and was getting a weird pathing error for hython. I tested with both H20.0.547 and H20.5.278. DL version is 10.3.0.15 – Do I need to upgrade to 10.4 to get all the Houdini 20+ goodness?
If I switch back to our on-prem license limits, the task renders correctly. I stopped the license forwarder and I still got the same error from the render node (see below). So it appears as soon as I use the UBL limits it is not happy. I’m not using a proxy.
The render node logs just show the (repeating) error:
