Options for modifying Job menu in Monitor?

I’m new to Deadline and am looking at customization options in the Monitor. We’d like to make some changes to the Job pop-up context menu. I know you can hide menu items via User Groups and add items to the Scripts submenu via plugins, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to:

  • Add a custom plugin to the top-level menu instead of the Scripts submenu.
  • Override the behaviour of one of the standard menu items.

In your Repo there is /settings/defaultScriptMenus.menu
From here you have the items listed on the Submit and Scripts toolbar

I’ve not tested it, but the SubMenu setting being adjusted might be what you are after. Changing one script to a different submenu seems fine, it is worth trying to see if giving a blank entry brings it to the top level. With all of the scripts contained within a folder, it might not allow for anything at the top level though.

After poking around for a bit, I don’t think that file allows what I’m after. The items in there from the Job pop-up menu are only the ones from the Scripts submenu and the SubMenus settings are relative to that, so it doesn’t look like it allows for adding things at a higher level than that.

Maybe I can enable quick access by adding keyboard shortcuts instead of trying to shuffle around the existing menus.
