Hi,
Pretty sure this is OS related but I’ve not used Deadline in a while so not quite sure when this started happening.
When our displays to go to sleep (System Prefs/Energy Saver) any job running seems to stall. The Computer itself is set to ‘never’ sleep, just the monitors are set to sleep. These are desktop computers (OSX 10.9.2) so connected to monitors.
If the display goes to sleep, the job stalls, if I tap a key to wake up the display, the job kicks in again.
If I set Displays to never sleep, the job progresses fine. If I disconnect the monitors, it also runs through fine.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
Thanks,
Chris
Should have said, same issue in both 6.1 and 6.2 beta.
Similar issue with a job that had been cancelled but wouldn’t update on a slave until the display was woken up. Seem no commands from the repository are getting through to a machine with its display(s) in sleep.
I did some googling, and it does appear to be an OS issue:

Seems like the best options are to disable display sleeping, or run another application that keeps the machine “awake”.

Yep, thanks for looking into that. I’ll submit a bug report to Apple.
Cheers,
