would Love to finnally be able to pick from under Particle objects Thinking Particle Icons and even picking precise TP groups in this rollout …
If you look at Afterburn or fume implentation , when Thinkingparticles01 is picked ( icon) a window shows up with the list of groups to pick … that ideally would be amazing…
could this be done without too much hassle ? currently , picking tp gives this wonderfull error :
Err:BuildMesh: could not get particle_istream from node: Thinking01

If you have Thinking Particles installed, Frost is supposed to have a “Thinking Particles Groups” rollout:
…but it sounds like this is broken.
Which version of Frost and Thinking Particles are you using? Could you please try updating to the latest Frost beta?
Rif, if you are running the latest TP 5.1, it will probably not work. 5.1 broke compatibility with Krakatoa MX, too.
We are looking into that. I assume even the latest Frost won’t work with 5.1, and I am not sure whether it works with 5.0. Paul should know…
