Pool table results

here are some results of mixing meshes from 2 locations, live.
i had a hard time lining them up - i’m trying to do it visually, but max doesnt always help out [sometimes the one i’m moving is visible but the other one disappears etc]
this is max 2012, becuase i couldnt get the smallest points to work in 2011

also i dont think that the math is correct on the lenses. the pool table isnt ‘flat’ - but slightly curved, which means taken from different angles ic ant get it to line up. we will have to do some registration work and perhaps remap the points.

also this is ken meshed. the big problem is the verte colours get ‘blurred’ when i mesh it. i want to reproject from another source.

If you get a chance to test, I am curious if this happens with the Asus Xtion PRO device too.

  1. Download and install Xtion PRO driver
  2. Disconnect all Kinects
  3. Connect an Xtion PRO
  4. Reset the 3ds Max scene and check the pool table surface

i will have to do that next week -i took the entire setup down last night.
