Pools not working consistently

Hey guys. I’m noticing some strangeness with Pools that I can’t seem to figure out. It’s not being consistent.

For instance I have two Pools - let’s call them A and B in order of priority.

We have jobs assigned to Pool B picking up nodes from Pool A.

I’ve looked at everything I can think of - bad slaves, limit groups, groups, blacklists, errors, etc. Nothing seems to jump out as to why jobs assigned to Pool B would pick up Pool A nodes before jobs that are assigned to Pool A.

Pools were rearranged earlier but it shouldn’t take hours to stick.

The Repository is set to Pool, Priority, Submission Date.

Have you looked at those for the Pool A jobs? It’s likely that something is preventing the Pool A jobs from rendering on those machines, as opposed to something causing Pool B jobs to jump ahead of them. You also didn’t mention Machine Limits, so that’ something to check too.

You can always use the Slave Availability Filter to determine which jobs can render on which machines:
