Problem tile rendering large images in 3ds max

We often need to send hi res still images to network render, often 6000x6000 with max files up to a few hundred mb. When rendering through backburner it seems pretty easy to specify how many strips u want (usually around 200 for us), send the file once to backburner and see 2 jobs appear in the queue (1 render sequence of strips and 1 to combine them). When i try and send the same file through deadline it sends the job out for every tile, which for big files or lots of tiles takes ages. Also, every tile appears in the monitor as a job. Is this something im doing wrong? if not could deadline be scripted to send stills in strips the same way backburner does? or even have the monitor consolidate all the tiles in the monitor?

This is the only issue holding us back from getting deadline, so would be great to find a solution.

Cheers

All this has been taken care of in the next version (v3.1) which works really well.
Tile jobs can be submitted as an individual job with each tile as a task in v3.1.
Hold on till its release, its well worth it!

Cheers mate, any idea when 3.1 is out?

It’s currently in beta, and we hope to officially release it in March of this year (it’s really going to depend on how beta testing goes).
