Problem with connecting fusion render node

Hi

I have this setup where a laptop is connected via ethernet to a router and use as a slave for deadline. this setup worked for me and now it stopped working. it’s successfully connected to the repository in a network location, the project files and render locations are in a network location that’s accessible. and the most annoying thing is I get no errors, the slave is connected to the repository successfully, it appears to render and complete but produces no files. when I view the render node info - it shows no activity.

there is no error log when I render through fusioncmd (how it used to work so far).

using fusion 17 or 18. doesn’t work. using the command prompt in the slave computer and launching the command still revealed no errors in the log file.

sometimes I do get error, this:

this is from the logs

I am lost, don’t know what else to check. it seems there’s a connection problem. disabled the firewall, still no go.

fusion render manager also fails on me. it recognizes the node, but when I render it fails. something with the connection and I don’t know what to check on windows 10.

would appreciate any help. thanks

UPDATE - eventually I was able to narrow it down to the fusion node status in the remote computer which stated “no license”. turning off the firewall in THE HOST computer for private network fixed it. having fusion allowed in the firewall was not enough
