I’ve set up Modo and Deadline on my machines and I get the following errors when trying to submit:
0: Error mapping C: to C:\DeadlineRepository: The network name cannot be found.
and
Scheduler Thread - Render Thread 0 threw an error:
Scheduler Thread - An error occurred in StartJob(): The specified executable is not a valid Win32 application. (System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception)
Any help would be appreciated.
This error seems to indicate that you’re Mapped Drive settings in the Repository Options are configured to map “C:\DeadlineRepository” to your local “C:”, which won’t work because “C:\DeadlineRepository” isn’t a network path. Is there a particular reason you’ve configured your Mapped Drive settings like this? The fact that you’re able to submit and attempt to render a job would indicate that your client machines are already connecting to the repository. So if you remove this particular Mapped Drive entry, this error should go away.
Is there a job error report that goes along with this error? You can find the error report(s) by right-clicking on the job in the Monitor and selecting Job Reports → View Error Reports. If so, can you please post the full error report? That will help put this error in better context, because it’s difficult to guess what the problem is based on that line of output alone.
Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for your help.
I found that changing the UAC settings fixed this problem I had mentioned. I am running windows 7 and Modo 401. This was on the 3.1 build.
The latest build of Deadline 4.0 fixed my problem entirely.
Everything is running magically now.
AWESOME!!!
