Hi,
could anyone tell me is there a any object proxy support from krakatoa side?
for example, if i want to matte krakatoa particles with some water fluid?
any plans for vray proxy, alembic, arnold standin, etc?
thx

If the Alembic is loading a mesh, I don’t see why that woudn’t work in Krakatoa.
Krakatoa Mattes currently work with Maya meshes and DTEX files from PRMan and compatible sources. VRay Proxy is VRay’s own technology and I am not sure we would be able to read its data, but we have considered talking to Chaos Group about deeper integration.
But I might be missing something. Is the fluid meshed, or a field (voxels)? Where does it come from (e.g. Naiad vs. RealFlow vs. Maya Fluids). More info would be helpful.
Your right Bobo,
alembic works, by default i was converting cache files into vray proxy since my workflow is based on vray…
i was talking about (fluid) poly mesh data , would be nice if you could get in touch with Vlado (from chaosgroup) i know he will help as much as he can and support you with proxy implementation.
fluids that i was talking about were done using Naiad, then converted into vray proxy, but the same thing would happen even with Realflow meshes…
Thx again Bobo, as always
best regards
