PRT Loader crashes Maya Instantly

Hello all. I have 10 PRT partitions that I’m attempting to load in Maya through the PRT Loader. The minute I attempt to load all 10 partitions, Krakatoa crashes Maya. I thought to perhaps try saving out 2 PRT partitions instead, and I get the same issue. I’ve tried in 2019.2, 2018, and the PRT crashes no matter what I am doing.

Krakatoa renders fine without the loader, however, I need the loader to help thicken up the density of the simulation.

I’ve tried resetting my Maya preferences, and get the same issue.

I’d love to get to the bottom of this.

Any thoughts or tips?

Hello Adam,

Did you find a solution for this? I have the same problem. Maya 2019.2 and 2018 crashes immediately trying to load particle partitions. Although in Maya 2017 it is working fine. I’m now creating particles in 2019.2 and render them in 2017.
