Pulse always listed as Offline in monitor

Deadline 6.0.0.48466
Fedora 15 x64

This is pretty minor, but when I launch a Pulse instance, it shows up in the monitor, but even while running, its status is always ‘Offline’.

Also, I’m curious what purpose Pulse will serve going forward. Will it be strictly responsible for power management and repository cleanup?

Thanks,

-Nathan

Hmm, we can’t seem to reproduce this. When we launch Pulse here, it shows up as running. Is Pulse printing any connection errors?

Pretty much. It will also allow for slave throttling and the web service.

Cheers,

Hmm, there might be something fishy with the Linux version of Pulse. Will do some digging and get back to you.

Sorry, scratch that. The Pulse we were testing was connected to a different repository. After pointing it at the correct repository, it now updates its state properly. So we can’t reproduce this on either Linux or Windows…

Ok. I’m out of town for a week, so I’ll try to reproduce it again when I get back.
