Hi, are there any plans to supprot python scripting in futur releases?



We are plaaning on switching to Toxic, and the scripting langage is python. it would be great to be able to run post render script in python to do a better integration with Toxic

Hi Sylvain,



When we make Deadline cross-platform, we’re more than likely going to go with the Python scripting language instead of using vbscript. Also, Deadline 2.5 will support Toxik.

That’s Great news!



Yeah I’ve seen the toxic plugin in the 2.5 demo I got at Siggraph.



It’s hard to say because I don’t have Toxic yet, but what I was thinking about was to create post-render script to push the images sequence on the user machine after render. So the user render during the night, in the morning the sequences are all in his local Toxic cache ready to playback in real time and comp in real time.
