Quicktime generator and .exr

Hi all,

Just spent an hour trying to work out why my quicktime jobs were erroring and then realised Quicktime cannot open .exr’s!!! Stupid me.

Is there a way around this, other than using Fusion. Nuke support maybe? Or even better, PDPlayer?

Hey Mark,

You could probably write a Deadline plugin that runs PDPlayer to create a movie. I checked its documentation and it offers full command line support, which should make the plugin creation pretty straightforward. We should probably support it out of the box at some point, but it’s not on our immediate road map. If you do get something working though and would like to share, that would help shorten the dev time on our end.
