Is it enough to just run the installer on the machines, or would you recommend uninstalling the previous build first?

It’s enough to just run the installers on the machines. You don’t need to uninstall first. The installer just sets some permissions on existing folders differently than it did before, which is why the installers needed to be run again for RC1.
