Reducing Flicker in Anisotropic Meshes

Anyone have any tips to reduce flicker in anisotropic meshes?

Specifically I have mid-low resolution RealFlow particles… I love the look of the anisotropic mesh on a still. But in an animation it tends to cause holes to come and go a little bit too much, often frame-by-frame. Perhaps I just need a denser particle cloud, but am trying to avoid that for obvious reasons (speed).
