Is remote control of slaves working yet? Restarting/starting slaves doesn’t seem to work for me (beta11)
Yup, it should work. Make sure that the Launcher is running on the remote machine you’re sending the command to. Also check for firewalls that could be preventing the communication. Finally, check in your Repository Options under Client Setup that Remote Administration is enabled.
On this note, would it be possible to hide the Remote Control submenu in the Slaves context menu for non-super-users? Having an empty menu there tricked me into thinking my Monitor was broken for about 10 minutes…
Yeah, we want to get this fixed. It’s logged as a bug.
Thanks, i think it was the client setup / remote administration option. It defaults to off.
I was able to restart slaves now, will test power management as well. Thanks!
