Renderbox Crashing with deadline

Hi   we have this problem occuring after we changed our office network. Before we used to work on a wireless less secure network and now we shifted to the main office with wired giga bit network with all kinds of servers managing the network.

These scenes we used to render it succefully before on our renderboxes using VRay and submitting through deadline.   Ever since we moved to the new network everything is crashing and restarting. we tried different file sizes and lights in different conditions still all crashing so if you can figure out what's wrong in our new network parameters so we can fix that......I'm posting below the full error message we recieve...thank you

Nader Elharidy

Hi Nader,

The error message “Trapped SEH Exception in LoadFromFile(): Access

Violation” means that 3dsmax more than likely ran out of memory when

loading the scene file. Have you tried rendering a very simple scene to

see if you still have the problem (ie: one teapot, one light, one

camera)? I just can’t see how switching networks would cause 3dsmax to

have memory issues.

Cheers,

Hi Ryan

Thanks for answering.   We tried simple scenes ...not one teapot of course but small scenes.     The idea is that it is not related to the scene itself becasue :

1- the files crashing now are the exact same files we rendered succefully before on the same machines .....the only thing that has changed is the network .....weird!!!!

2- some large files managed to complete and finsih without crashing.

3- some files keep crashing for 3 or 4 times and then without any obvious reason they finish eventually ....and some other files just crash from the first second......it's really a random crash.....Our IT guys have gone crazy trying to find a reason unless we have ghosts in out new office smile
