One of my machines stopped working correctly with deadline and is showing the following error
Renderer returned non-zero error code, -529697949

We haven’t seen that particular exit code, and we don’t get any errors before the crash happens.
If you go through the troubleshooting guide to run the render outside of our batch mode, and then run through a command prompt on DESKTOP-QICCVH7 how does it behave?
Let us know what kind of results you get back!
Jobs are rendering fine with older versions of c4d (up to r26)
when submitting directly via deadline submit menu and batch mode disabled and selecting c4d 2024 jobs are not rendering.

Did you try running the ‘full command’ on the machine directly to see if it also crashes outside of Deadline? By the sound of it there’s something wrong with the C4D install, but I’d like to be sure it’s not Deadline.

Let me know what you see - if it still crashes reach out to Maxon support. If it doesn’t let me know and we’ll figure out what Deadline is doing to cause the failure.

I contacted maxon and they advised me to do the following
I would recommend to reset the commandline userfolder and see if this helps.
You can find the userfolder to delete here (might be hidden in Windows Explorer):
“[HDD]:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\Cinema 4D 2024…_x”
Please assure to find the folder ending with “_x” and delete this entire folder.
Trying to render again, you should be asked for a licensing method and you should choose Maxon App.
Now everything is working as it should
