Rendering error "lifespan not available in stream

Hey,

I’m getting a rendering error with a partitioned flow. “lifespan” not available in stream. There are no KCM that even us the lifespan channel and the flow is very simple. We saved out Age/lifespan/vel/pos/ID channels. see attached screen cap. Please Advise asap as we have a tight deadline on this!

Ok, let’s think this through.

  • If Krakatoa is complaining about missing LifeSpan channel, we have to assume that it is trying to use it and failing to see it.
  • The PFlow is set up correctly as far as I can tell, but you are rendering PRT Loaders, so we would have to check them all using the Particle Data Viewer for the LifeSpan channel.
  • Does the MagmaFlow (which I don’t see on the screenshot) show any errors when evaluated in the viewports?
  • You could send me a test scene to bobo AT thinkboxsoftware DOT com.

I could give you a phone call if you feel it would speed up the debugging process.

We had a wayward part loader with a kcm on it way out in space. works fine now that we’ve deleted it.
