I don’t quite know how this would work, but it would be col if there was a report view of some kind that always displayed the log text of the latest report from the currently selected task in the tasks pane.
Interesting suggestion. We already have a right-click option to filter Job reports for a specific task, so I the code is already there, we’d just need to adapt it.
The way I’d envision this working would be to have a “Task-centric” mode button on the Job Reports panel that would just update the filter everytime you select a different task.

Sure, I imagine this would just be a matter of ensuring there’s always something selected in the Job Reports pane. We might not be able to guess exactly which one of the Task Reports you want to look at, if there are multiple though 
Just wanted to check and see if this was something that might make it into 7.0 (or has already… I still haven’t had a chance to play with the beta). I’m getting a lot of requests for a more intuitive, contextual link between the reports pane and the jobs/tasks panes.
This hasn’t made it into 7.0 yet, but it’s on the list of stuff we’re wanting to at least try to get done. I might take a look at it sometime this week
