Deadline Version: 6.1.0.54062 R
Windows 7
We had this happen to a few different people on different workstations. If you select MULTIPLE slaves and try to restart thru monitor (Remote Control -> Machine Commands -> Restart Machine), it will restart that workstation monitor is running on. But the good news is, it does still issue the command for the slaves to restart too. Just really annoying to have your workstation just reboot on you.
I can’t reproduce this with RC2. I tested many different combinations of selected slaves, and not once did my machine restart as well. In fact, there is a fail safe built in specifically for this, so that if you just right click on the slave that’s on your machine and try to restart the machine, nothing will happen, which I’ve confirmed here as well.
Is it possible that there is some sort of network issue that’s causing a command being sent to one of the slaves to somehow get routed back to the machine that is sending it?
