Resuming Maxwell Render

Hi All,

Fairly new user. Deadline has been great for a lot of my studio’s rendering needs, but we use Maxwell for a lot of shots, and we are trying to navigate away from the maxwell render manager and use deadline exclusively. The problem that I seem to be having is that I cannot get deadline to resume an MXI in cooperative mode. I get a error that states:

Error in PreRenderTasks: NameError : global name ‘startFrame’ is not defined (Python.Runtime.PythonException)
[’ File “none”, line 146, in PreRenderTasks\n’]
at Deadline.Plugins.ScriptPlugin.RenderTasks(String taskId, Int32 startFrame, Int32 endFrame, String& outMessage, AbortLevel& abortLevel)

I only seem to have this problem when I am trying to resume a MXI that has already been written. I have tried trial and error for a while, messing with different combinations of settings in the deadline submission window. Anyone else having this problem?

Derrick

Hey sir,

We’ve got this error fixed in Deadline 6.2.0. I can’t give you folks the download link here, but if you contact support@thinkboxsoftware.com we should be able to give you the download. If you folks are currently on support, any needed license upgrades will be free.

Regards,

Edwin

Thanks, this worked!
