I miss the right click error messages. It should spawn a new floating window with that task/job’s error messages. I couldn’t figure out where to find error messages for a long time. And I use the same panel for both tasks and messages so it would be awkward to share the space. A simple pop-up on right click like before would work nicely.
With Deadline 6, we’re trying to stick to the model where everything is a panel, so any panel you would want would be found in the New Panel drop down menu. We will be documenting this at some point, but it’s definitely understandable that there would be a bit of a learning curve.
Note that if you spawn a job reports window, it will already be populated with the reports for the selected job. You can also drag the panel to your second monitor and maximize it like before to view your reports. You can also right-click on the panel title bar to change the panel type, so you could switch between panels if that’s easier too.
It would still be apanel. It would just be a floating panel that you create through a RC menu.
