I just installed Deadline-10.1.16.9, when trying to run it I get an error saying
To run this application, you must install .NET Core.
I downloaded windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.16-win-x64.exe and installed, but it still gives the same error. Must I use the server apps version?
Thanks.

I’ve tried
windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.13-win-x64.exe
dotnet-runtime-3.1.13-win-x64.exe
windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.13-win-x86.exe
dotnet-runtime-3.1.13-win-x86.exe
dotnet-hosting-3.1.16-win.exe
dotnet-runtime-3.1.16-win-x64.exe
windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.16-win-x86.exe
windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.16-win-x64.exe
Still getting the error.
To run this application, you must install .NET Core.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.
I am having the same issue, I had it running; restarted my computer, and now deadline launcher will not run and is telling me that I need to download .net desktop runtime which I have downloaded and am still not able to launch. 2 years later, can we get a fix now?
Which version of Deadline are you running? Is it also 10.1.16.9?
What version of windows are you using, and are there any pending Windows updates?
I have seen this before due to pending Windows updates on the machine, please check for any pending updates and make sure the machine is up to date.
The machine may also need a restart after installing the new runtime.
So Im getting the same issue. Im running windows 11 Pro 10.0.22621 build 2261. Ive downloaded and installed the .NET Desktop Runtime
