This is the first time of me trying Deadline on my home network. Really happy how smooth everything works. I’m using Corona renderer and I couldn’t find how to save all passes in a single CXR file - (Corona’s native EXR format which saves all passes and allows postprocessing in Corona image viewer. )
If I assign saving in *.cxr format when pointing the saving path, it saves all passes separately in cxr format, which is not what I want. Is there a way to have a single CXR output?
I’m actually not sure offhand to be honest. I know for Maya and Cinema 4D we don’t touch the output from the renderer at all. Max is a bit special in that you could save the framebuffer outside of the plugin and in that case we’d handle it. In that case though I doubt you’d get any metadata.
Can you outline in which app and how you’re setting up your outputs? You’re not the only one using Corona with Deadline so I’m hopping either the community or a developer can help here.
Also, I had a chat with one of the Corona developers the other day, and if you find that your CXRs are corrupting while re-rendering existing frames you may need an update.
Thank you for reply. I point to output folder in render settings inside 3ds max, before submitting to Deadline. Normally, if I render directly, after finishing I can save a single CXR file with all passes and lightmix information. And later I can open this file in CoronaImage, I can adjust light colors and brightness, adjust exposure and save passes.
But when I point to a folder, to save render and select CXR, it saves all passes seperately in CXR format. So I’m trying to understand is there a way to save only a single CXR file with all data inside it.
