"Search..." in monitor

Hi,
As well as filtering out say; jobs by whatever characters are typed into the “search…” field in the monitor. Could it also highlight the characters found in 1 or more columns within the filtered jobs view? Expand this idea for wherever there is a “Search…” function for a panel.

Also, for the Log Reports panel, could we have a search field for the actual contents of each log report instead of just for the actual list of job reports. Typically, I want to search for a keyword in the STDout and it would be excellent to not just highlight the job reports which have this keyword present in their log but also highlight the instances of this word/character in say, YELLOW?

For extra points, a small (very thin) column down the right-hand side, showing where the instances of the keyword are present and the total number of instances of this keyword per log report and also in total between ALL job reports would get you a :stuck_out_tongue: face from me  (as an example, I’m thinking the way an internet browser such as chrome works when you hit “cmd + F” to find a word on a web page)

Also, could we get a “Search…” field for the “job details” panel?

Thanks,
Mike

This may be possible with some Qt customization.

The issue here is that the actual log contents are only loaded when you click on a report in the list. This is necessary because if we loaded all the log files, it would perform badly when there are lots of reports, or when the Monitor is running from a remote location.

We would like to bring back searching the selected report’s log using Ctrl+F though. That’s something that is missing that used to be in v5.

We’ll add it to the wish list.

Cheers,
